Week 1 - A New Way

Jesus is a different kind of messiah than the one the people of Israel were looking for. He did not come as a conquering king like many expected, but rather as a gentle and lowly servant ready to trade His very life for others. The beatitudes of Jesus are a powerful reminder that the blessings of the Kingdom are not just for those with the power or position, but they are available for the meek, the broken-hearted, the gentle, the persecuted, the forgotten… They are available for all of us, because all of us need Jesus. He makes a new way for all to be saved and to experience the manifold blessings of God.
